Sein erstes Lebenszeichen ist der Song “Suddenly”, der bereits vor vielen Jahren entstanden ist, als sich MARX noch namenlos als ein Soloprojekt verstand.

Gitarre, Synthibass und Stimme: Mit nur wenigen Klängen schafft es das Stück Gänsehaut zu erzeugen und beim Hörer umgehend Ohrwurmstatus zu erlangen. Der Text erzählt von der Verunsicherung, die einen umtreibt, wenn es von Leichtigkeit und Glück hin zu Zweifeln und Ängsten nur ein kleiner Schritt ist, plötzlich alles in Frage steht.

Das Video zu “Suddenly”, das von dem langjährigen Freund und Regisseur René Schulz an einem winterlichen Sonntag auf dem Dachboden des damals noch unsanierten Wohnhauses der beiden in Berlin Mitte aufgezeichnet wurde, vermittelt gut, wie sehr dieser Ort im Wandel ist.

“Suddenly” is MARX's debut release, which has been written many years ago when MARX still was a solo project.

Guitar, synth bass and voice: With just a few sounds, the song creates goosebumps and immediately gains ohrwurm status with the listener. The lyrics are about the small step from lightness and happiness to doubts and fears and the insecurity when suddenly everything is in question.

The video for “Suddenly”, which was made by longtime friend and director René Schulz on a winter Sunday in the attic of their then still unrenovated house in Berlin Mitte conveys well how much the city has changed since that time.
